Overview

You can export your subscriber list to a CSV file to use in a spreadsheet or another tool. Exports run in the background, so you can keep working while Cobalt builds the file.

Get Started

1. Go to Subscribers and click Export.

2. Choose what to export:

  • All subscribers: everyone on your list.

  • Subscribers by date: people who opted in within a date range. Click a start date, then an end date. Submit stays unavailable until you pick both.

3. Click Submit. A banner called Subscriber List Export shows while Cobalt builds the file. You can leave the page, while it processes in the background.

4. When the banner says "Your subscriber export is ready to download.", click Download List. The file is saved as subscribers-export.csv.

What is in the file

Each row is one subscriber, with these columns: Name, Status, Email, Phone, Subscribed Date, First Subscribed Date, Phone Type, Attributed orders and Attributed spend.

  • Status: subscribed, opted_out or pending.

  • Dates: shown in UTC. Subscribed Date is the current opt-in date, and First Subscribed Date is the first time the person opted in.

  • Phone Type: imessage, sms or unknown.

Helpful Tips

  • The file includes opted-out and pending subscribers. It does not include tags, segments or notes.

  • The search, segment and status filters on the Subscribers page do not change an export. Only your choice in the window does.

If the banner says "We couldn't finish this export. Please try again.", click Export and run it again.

Shopify stores: Attributed orders and Attributed spend come from orders in your connected Shopify store that Cobalt credits to your messages, so they show 0 without any credited orders.
