Overview
A welcome flow sends a text to someone the first time they subscribe. The Welcome template is ready to use: iPhone subscribers get an iMessage and everyone else gets a text message.
Get Started
1. Go to Flows > Popular Templates. On the Welcome card, click Use template.
2. The builder opens with the trigger New subscriber, then a Branch on Device type - iPhone. Click Done to close the trigger panel. Yes sends an iMessage and No sends a text message.
3. Click a message step to edit it. Change the text, click Personalize to add details such as {first_name}, then click Save step. Repeat for the other message.
Append "Reply STOP to opt out.": Checked by default and marked recommended.
4. Click Save, then click Set as Live and confirm modal to complete the process.
What happens next
Each new subscriber will receive the welcome flow once, at the initial point they first subscribe. Someone who texts STOP and subscribes again does not get it a second time. Messages wait for your Quiet Hours to end before they send.
Helpful Information
The flow starts for subscribers who text JOIN, finish a web form, or reply Y or YES to an invite. Subscribers you import do not start the flow.
{store_link} uses the website in Account Settings > Account > General > Company Domain. If it is empty, the link sends blank, so edit or remove it before you go live.
Shopify stores: A subscriber who opts in at your Shopify checkout also starts the flow.
