Overview
A QR code lets someone use their phone camera to text your keyword or open a web page. You choose what the code does, pick a color and download it as a PNG image.
Get Started
1. Go to Tools > QR Codes.
2. Under Action, choose what the code does:
Text a keyword: Choose a Keyword from your enabled keywords. Scanning opens Messages to your iMessage number with the keyword filled in.
Send people to a url: Enter a URL that starts with http:// or https://.
3. Optional: under QR Code Color, pick a color or type a 6-digit hex code such as #1D4ED8 to match your brand color.
4. Check the QR Code Preview, then click Download PNG. The file is named cobalt-qr-code.png.
What happens next
When someone scans the code, their phone opens a text to your iMessage number with the keyword filled in, or opens your web page. The keyword you chose decides what happens after they send the text. JOIN subscribes them. Any other keyword sends its auto response and adds them to its segments without subscribing them.
Helpful Information
Cobalt does not save your QR codes. Download the file before you leave the page.
The URL must be a valid public web address.
Troubleshooting
"Messaging number required" and "Add an iMessage number before generating QR codes that text a keyword." This means your account does not have an iMessage number yet, so Text a keyword is unavailable and Download PNG stays disabled.
