Overview
A Tap-to-Join link is a short link that opens a new text to your iMessage number with a keyword already typed in. The shopper only has to tap send. Share it anywhere people can tap a link. This makes it easy to add to your social media accounts or other sites where your customers frequently visit.
For example, if you create an Instagram post for a new product launch you could add a link to encourage customers to subscribe for a discount off their next purchase.
Get Started
1. Go to Tools > Tap-to-Join Links and click Create Link.
2. In the Create Link window, fill in:
Name: A name so you can recognize the link. It can be up to 120 characters.
Keyword: The keyword the text will contain. The list shows your enabled keywords.
Non-Mobile Fallback URL (optional): This link is useful if customers click the link from their computer instead of a mobile device. It must start with http:// or https://.
3. Click Save. The link appears in the list as Enabled.
4. Click the three dots on the link's row, then click Copy URL. Paste the link wherever you want to share it.
What happens next
When someone opens the link on a phone, their messaging app opens a new text to your iMessage number with your keyword filled in. On a computer, they go to your fallback URL. If you did not add one, they see a page asking them to open the link on their phone.
The keyword you chose decides what happens after they send the text. JOIN subscribes them. Any other keyword sends its auto response and adds them to its segments without subscribing them.
Helpful Information
The Clicks column counts unique link clicks.
If you edit a link and choose a different keyword, the same link starts sending the new keyword.
A disabled or deleted link stops working. Anyone who opens it sees a "page not found" message.
