Overview
An engaged segment finds subscribers who click or reply to your messages. An unengaged segment finds people you have messaged who have not clicked or replied back. You can build both with the Messaging Activity filters in the segment builder.
Get Started
A. Build an Engaged Subscriber Segment
1. Go to Segments, click Create Segment, then click Build Segment. Enter a Segment name, such as Engaged subscribers.
2. On the Subscriber Activity tab, click Condition group and choose Clicked a link. Set the operator to Has and the frequency to At least once. Enter 30 and choose Day(s).
3. Check the Segment size, then click Save Segment.
B. Build an Unengaged Subscriber Segment
1. Start a new segment named Unengaged subscribers. On the Subscriber Activity tab, add Received a message, set to Has, At least once, in the last 60 Day(s).
2. Click Add condition and choose Clicked a link. Set it to Has not, At least once, in the last 60 Day(s).
3. Make sure the match rule at the top says All, then click Save Segment.
Tip: To find people who clicked or replied, add Clicked a link and Replied to a message, then choose Any.
Helpful Information
Received a message - counts messages that were delivered, not just sent.
Clicked a link - counts clicks on links in messages sent from Cobalt.
Replied to a message - counts any text the subscriber sends you.
Has not - includes people you have never messaged. Pair it with Received a message, as above, to leave them out.
Segments update as time passes, so people move in and out as the days roll on.
