Overview
Today, Cobalt sends messages to phone numbers in the US and Canada only. A number from any other country can still join your list, but Cobalt flags it as unmessageable and never texts it.
When Cobalt adds a new country to our support list, we will send an email notification to our clients, and also update this support article. Do you need a specific country for your campaign? Please reach out to our team.
What you will see
Profile: The subscriber shows as Opted out, and the SMS row in the Subscriptions tab says "Unsupported location".
Imports: Before you upload a file, the import window says "Cobalt currently messages the US and Canada only. Numbers outside those countries will still be imported, but are flagged as unmessageable and will not receive messages."
Other sign-ups: The same flag is applied when a number joins in another way, such as a web form or the API.
You cannot resubscribe these numbers yourself.
Helpful Information
Numbers from other countries that start with +1, such as the Bahamas or Jamaica, are flagged the same way.
Campaigns and flows skip these numbers, even if the subscriber is on your list.
