Add a Web Form to Your Website

Put a saved web form in front of visitors by pasting its embed code into your site or sharing its page link.

Overview

A saved web form reaches visitors in one of two ways, depending on its Form type. A Website Embed form is a snippet of code you paste into a page on your website. Whereas a Dedicated Page form has its own page that Cobalt hosts, so you share its link.

Get Started

A. Add a Website Embed form to a page

1. Go to Web Forms. Click the three dots on the form's row, then click Copy Code.

You can also open the form with Edit and click Copy under Embed code on the Setup step.

2. Paste the code into your page where you want the form to appear, then save or publish the page.

B. Share a Dedicated Page form

1. Go to Web Forms. Click the three dots on the form's row, then click Copy URL. Click View instead to open the page in a new tab.

You can also copy the link on the Setup step, next to Dedicated page URL.

2. Paste the link into your website, or anywhere else you share links.

What happens next

Visitors enter their mobile number in the form and confirm it with a 6-digit code Cobalt texts them.

Helpful Information

The form must be Active. A form that is still a Draft, or that you have disabled, shows nothing on your website, and its page link shows a page not found message.

The link ends with the Custom page URL from the Setup step, or with a key Cobalt generates if you did not choose one.

Shopify stores: A Website Embed form does not show an embed code. In the form's row menu, click Copy Form ID, then click Open Theme Editor. In the theme editor, add the Cobalt Web Form block to a section, paste the form ID into the block's settings and save. A Dedicated Page form is shared by link, as above.
