Overview
The Cobalt app embed adds Cobalt popups to every page of your Shopify store. Your popups do not appear on your store until the app embed is turned on in your live theme.
Before you start
Make sure the Cobalt app in installed within your Shopify store first, as described in Set Up Your Shopify Integration.
Get Started
1. In Cobalt, go to Integrations > Shopify and click the Settings tab.
2. Under Manage your Cobalt App Embed, click Manage App Embed. Your Shopify theme editor opens in a new tab, on App embeds.
3. Find the Cobalt Popup option and click to enable the toggle. Click Save at the top right of the theme editor.
You can also open the same place from your Shopify admin: Online Store > Themes > Edit theme > App embeds.
What happens next
Popups you have enabled in Cobalt can now show on your store. Visit your store to check that they appear.
Helpful Information
The app embed is turned on for one theme, the one you edited. If you publish a different theme, turn on Cobalt Popup in that theme too.
Cobalt Popup has one setting, Enable Popup, which is ticked by default. Leave it ticked, or your popups stay hidden.
During account setup, the Install the Cobalt app embed on Shopify screen links to the same place.
Web forms do not use the app embed. On Shopify they use the Cobalt Web Form block instead.
