Overview
A free shipping reward is a Shopify discount code that makes shipping free instead of taking money off the items. When creating the reward, you can choose to add this as a Dynamic or Shared discount code.
Get Started
1. Go to Rewards and click Create Reward. Choose Dynamic discount code (a unique code for each subscriber) or Shared discount code (the same code for everyone), then click Submit.
2. Enter a Title, then set Discount value to Free shipping.
3. Under Countries, choose All countries or Selected countries. For Selected countries, search for a country and click it to add it. Click the x on a country to remove it.
4. Under Shipping rates, you can tick Exclude shipping rates over a certain amount and enter the most the discount should cover. A rate above that amount is not made free.
5. Set Minimum purchase requirements and Expiration Time if you want them. For a Shared reward, also enter the Discount code, up to 64 characters.
6. Click Create reward. You see "Reward created."
What happens next
The reward appears in the Rewards list with the value "Free shipping". Choose it when you add a reward to a campaign, a flow message or a popup.
Helpful Information
A reward's discount type cannot be changed after you create it. You can still edit its countries and shipping rate limit.
Limited time expiration is only on Dynamic rewards: each code expires 24, 48 or 72 hours after it is sent.
Troubleshooting
"Could not create the discount in Shopify. Please check your Shopify connection and try again."
Check that your Shopify store is connected, then click Create reward again.
"Could not create this discount code in Shopify. It may already exist in your store - try a different code, or check your Shopify connection."
A Shared code must be new to your store. Enter a different Discount code.
