Overview

Cobalt reviews every campaign before it sends, to check the message against its content policy, including carrier rules on restricted content. When you schedule a campaign it shows Pending Cobalt Approval, and you cannot edit it until Cobalt decides.

What you see while a campaign is reviewed

  • Pending Cobalt Approval: Cobalt is reviewing the campaign. You cannot edit it: "This campaign is pending Cobalt approval and can't be edited right now."

  • Approved: The campaign goes out at its scheduled time. The status then reads Scheduled, In Progress or Sent. You cannot edit it: "This campaign has been approved by Cobalt, so it can no longer be edited."

  • Denied - content violation: Cobalt found a problem with the message. Point to the status to see the reason. Cobalt also emails you the reason, unless you turned off Campaigns notifications in your account settings.

Get Started

Fix a flagged or denied campaign:

1. Open the campaign. A denied campaign stays editable. If you see "Content blocked - SHAFT policy violation", the banner lists the flagged terms by category: Sex, Hate, Alcohol, Firearms or Tobacco.

2. Change the message to fix the flagged terms or the reason Cobalt gave, then save and schedule the campaign again. It goes back to Pending Cobalt Approval.

Helpful Information

A flagged message cannot be submitted for approval until it is fixed and saved again.

Flows do not wait for review. A flow goes live when you activate it and its messages pass the same content scan.
