Overview
Shopify stores add Cobalt by installing the Cobalt app from the Shopify App Store. Cobalt creates your account from your store's details, then a simple onboarding flow and finally flow setup completes the process.
Get Started
1. In the Shopify App Store, open the Cobalt app and click Install.
2. Review what Cobalt can access in your store, then approve the install.
3. Cobalt opens and signs you in with your store's contact email. Fill in each screen of the account setup and click Continue.
4. When setup is done, go to Account Settings > Billing > Plans. The page says billed through Shopify. Click the Choose button under any plan.
5. Shopify's plan page opens. Choose your plan there and approve it.
What happens next
Cobalt updates your plan once Shopify reports it as active. You need a plan before Cobalt can send messages. Cobalt also reviews your account and sets up your phone numbers before you can send. See How Long Does Account and Number Approval Take?
Helpful Information
To open Cobalt later, open the Cobalt app from your Shopify admin. Cobalt signs you in to your store's account.
To sign in on Cobalt's website instead, click Forgot password? on the login page and enter your store's contact email to set a password.
Stores on Shopify Plus see one more setup screen, for collecting subscribers at checkout.
If you uninstall Cobalt and install it again later, Shopify's plan page opens so you can choose a plan again.
Troubleshooting
"Log in to your Cobalt account to connect Example Goods."
Your store's contact email already has a Cobalt account. Log in with that email, and Cobalt connects your store to that account.
